A catalogue of historic sites in Cyprus: monasteries, castles, ancient cities, Neolithic settlements, museums, aqueducts and mosques. The site is published in three languages — Russian, English and Greek.

Where the data comes from

Coordinates and original names are taken from OpenStreetMap. Dates, historical context and UNESCO status are compiled from open sources. No entry has been verified on site yet; where that is the case, the page says so.

The photographs in this catalogue are our own, taken at the sites themselves.

The north of the island

Some monuments — Salamis, Kyrenia Castle, Saint Hilarion, Bellapais, Famagusta — lie in the northern part of the island, which has not been under the control of the Republic of Cyprus since 1974. These entries are marked separately. They are reached through the official crossing points.
